Setup & how it works
How long does setup take?
About 15 minutes on a setup call, plus 30 seconds on your phone to forward your missed calls. Most shops are fully live the same day.
Do I need a new phone number?
No. You keep your business number. We just pick up when you don't.
Do I need new equipment or software?
No. Works with your existing phone. You can add integrations with Google Calendar or your scheduling tool later if you want.
Can I turn it off when I want to answer myself?
Yes. It only answers calls you don't. You're always in control.
Does it work if I already have a receptionist?
Yes. A lot of shops use it as overflow — picks up when the receptionist is on another line, at lunch, or off the clock.
The calls themselves
Will my customers know it's not a real person?
Most won't. The voice is natural and the conversations feel normal. If a customer asks directly, it'll be honest — but most never ask.
What if a caller asks something it doesn't know?
It takes a detailed message and flags it for callback. It never makes up answers. You get the full call transcript so you can follow up with the right info.
What happens during a real plumbing emergency?
It's trained to flag emergencies — floods, burst pipes, gas smells, no heat. It grabs the critical info (address, shut-off status, damage extent), walks the caller through shutting the water off if needed, and texts you immediately so you can respond.
What about commercial calls vs residential?
It asks early in the call and adjusts the questions accordingly. You'll know before you show up.
What about calls outside my service area?
It politely declines and suggests they find a plumber in their area. You don't waste time on jobs you can't do.
Does it handle Spanish or other languages?
Yes — multiple languages are supported. Ask us on the demo which ones fit your market.

How much does it cost?

Are there contracts or setup fees?

Does it integrate with my scheduling software?

How do I get paid? Does it handle payment?
You handle payment the way you always do. The assistant books jobs and captures details — it doesn't take credit cards or replace your billing process.
What if I get a ton of calls at once?
It handles unlimited simultaneous calls. Three callers at 8am all get picked up at the same time.

Who owns the call data?
You do. Every call, transcript, and customer detail is yours. We don't sell data. You can export it anytime.
Is it secure?
Yes. Calls are encrypted. Customer data is stored securely and isn't shared.
Can I listen to my calls?
Yes. Every call is recorded (where legal) and transcribed. You can listen or read anytime.
What if I don't like it?
Month-to-month, cancel anytime. No contracts. If it's not working for your shop, turn it off. No hard feelings.
